This box is sized to store your keepsakes. These boxes make great gifts as you etch any text or designs that want in them. The design uses 1/4" maple plywood and is double walled, so the box is incredible strong. The design also uses a living hinge concept so the four side walls are made from a single piece of wood. The living hinge also allows the box to have rounded corners giving it a much more appealing feel. The keepsake box should be sanded. It can then be left bare or stained. The photos show the Keepsake Box stained with one coat of MinWax PolyShades. The colors used are espresso and american chestnut. The box can be assembled using glue or 23 gauge headless pins.
