This design includes all of the symbols required to make a 144 piece Mahjong set. There are 144 fronts and 144 backs. It fits on 450mm x 800mm sheet of 6mm birch.
One idea is to to stain the backs a darker color than the fronts.
The fronts are glued to the backs using wood glue.
